Welcome to Specialized Geological Mapping Limited
Warren Pratt (BSc Geology Hull, 1986; PhD Structural Geology, University of Wales, 1990) has a strong mapping background and a decade of British Geological Survey field experience and training. In the first half of the 1990's he worked mainly on volcanic rocks in Wales, on engineering geology projects, and in the roofing slate industry. In 1994 he won the President's Award of the Geological Society of London for detailed thematic mapping. Apart from the UK, he has extensive world-wide field experience in a great variety of geological terrains. Dr Pratt has a track record of generating Au/Cu targets in under-explored areas, for example, the Cañicapa high sulfidation Au project, discovered during a World Bank minerals program in Ecuador. He is fluent in Spanish. Over the last few years, presentations have been made at metals- and petroleum-related international conferences in France, Perú and Finland. Dr Pratt is a Competent Person as defined by Chapter 17 of the UKLA Sourcebook.
Don Allen (MSc Geological Engineering and Economic Geology, University of British Colombia, 1966) has over 30 years of experience in Au/Cu exploration. He has experience in mapping sedimentary and igneous terrains in Canada, the United States, Ecuador and Bolivia. Apart from his mapping skills, Don specializes in the application of integrated geological, geochemical and geophysical information to evaluate mineral deposits, especially porphyry Cu (Mo, Au) and epithermal precious metal deposits. He has considerable experience in the design, implementation, and management of exploration programs. He is also skilled in several exploration computing programs (Oasis Montaj, Surpac) and is qualified to write technical reports for Canadian stock exchanges (PEng registered in British Columbia). He is fluent in Spanish and is based in Quito, Ecuador.
Miguel Ponce (MSc in Ore Deposits, Geochemistry and Petrology, University of Geneva) is an Ecuadorian geologist with experience in epithermal gold/silver systems. He qualified as a Geologist from Quito’s Universidad Central in 2002. Subsequently he worked for the Norwegian and Canadian Juniors, Ecuanor SA and International Minerals Corporation. He also spent one year with the Institut Francais d’etudes Andines, on petroleum-related studies in the Oriente of Ecuador. Miguel speaks fluent English and French.
